Dr Matt Stammers is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Clinical Informatician who founded the data and AI team in 2021 and now leads its clinical portfolio. Appointed Clinical Lead for Data and AI in 2024, he champions safe, open-source innovation and credible clinical governance. His work spans registries, applied AI and software development, ensuring clinical relevance, transparency, and high standards of safety across SDE activities.
