Kerry Thompson leads regional data partner management for the Wessex SDE, working with NHS organisations and partner institutions to develop the trusted relationships that underpin data-enabled research. She helps organisations join the SDE, supports the onboarding of new datasets and works with partners to remove practical barriers to research, ensuring data can be accessed efficiently and responsibly for approved projects.
Kerry has extensive experience delivering research programmes across the NHS, with a background in operational delivery, stakeholder engagement and real-world data. She brings a collaborative approach to working across organisations, helping align local priorities with the wider ambition to improve health and care through research.
A key part of Kerry’s role is ensuring that data partners see clear value from participating in the SDE. Working closely with NHS trusts, researchers and the wider leadership team, she helps develop long-term partnerships that strengthen the regional research infrastructure while supporting the priorities of the organisations that contribute data.
