Chrissy Sturt
Chrissy Sturt leads communications, public and patient involvement, and stakeholder engagement. She is responsible for how the SDE explains its purpose, safeguards, research impact and public value to patients, researchers, NHS partners and wider audiences.
Chrissy spent 20 years in BBC newsrooms before moving into senior healthcare communications. She now leads communications across Wessex Health Partners, the UK Commercial Research Delivery Centre Network and the NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centre: Wessex. Her expertise includes media handling, strategic communications, leadership advice, public engagement, campaigns, crisis communications and impact reporting.
Her role brings a strong editorial and audience focus to the SDE, helping turn complex issues around health data, research governance and public trust into clear, credible communications.
